Thank you all again for the advice! It has been very helpful! Although I'm not sure about the eating rats bit! Haha!

I think we will get the air bricks and drainage channel in first. Think it will be a good idea to hack the plaster off our walls ourselves and see how that goes.

Definitely not what I was expecting my first year to be like in our first house! We thought we wouldn't have to do much apart from decorate! How naive we are! Oh well I know for next time, I have learnt so much in such a short space of time!
