Thanks @Cubist
I'm silly, I just checked the invoice to double check - we didn't get the flashing around the chimney redone as it looked fine and no water ingress issues in the loft have been seen, thankfully. I should have checked and mentioned that.
We've agreed the following with the roofer, who has been pretty professional (I'm just concerned about their actual skillset now):
1. repoint the area shown in the last photo above (above and below the lead flashing)
2. replace the last 2-3 lead flashing and putting it up against the wall. He will also wrap it around the parapet wall like our neighbours has.
3. Move the gutter along a bit more under the parapet wall (like our neighbour's) incase water ends up flowing into the wall from the roof here
Thanks for your kind words, it really helps.
I'm hoping the above resolves this.
We've had the dehumidifier on since and the heating has been on - temperature is always about 15-18 degrees in there and humidity levels about 50% (levels in the air have naturally been low). I am just praying there is no mould or damage from this.
From looking at that corner, it does look ok - it's drying well. But i don't know what's going on in the plasterboard.
If we have to redo it, i will attempt it myself (it's low enough to reach with a small ladder and I saw how they did it). Might as well try to be positive and learn a new skill earlier than I thought i'd need to.
