I'm in the last stages of grouting 20sqm of 150-200 yr old handmade Heather Browns, having relaid them from the lounge into the dining room. Will post some pics later.
However, to clean them we took them outside and pressure-hosed them, scrubbed with washing up liquid and power hosed them again at high pressure.
Seemed to do the trick with minimal elbow grease.
Another trick we have learned is to linseed oil them prior to grouting. Makes it easier to clean the grout off as you go. A final scrub and top coat of linseed oil and they look fab.
