I am looking for some advice about cleaning up a newly discovered brick and flint internal wall containing a beam having removed the modern plaster that had so wisely been applied to a wall in our house! Why do people cover things like this up??!!!!?
We had some damp problems that have now been indentified following the removal of the plaster. Cleverly a previous owner had decided that they didnt need to fill holes leading to the external wall or remove old overflow pipes but instead just slap a good layer of modern plaster on top of old damp proof lining (with holes in it!!!!) - job done!
Anyway we have decided to keep the wall as a feature but need to clean it up so please let me know of a good technique or company in the north hampshire area that will enable us to do this!
cheers
