Chandelier

We have just bought a very lovely old chandelier from ebay. Just mentioning it in case anyone else is in search of one because there are loads for sale at the moment. All in Turkey - it looks as if a grand hotel has had a refit or something. Ours was very large and cost 300 pounds including postage. It has just arrived and is lovely

I've been looking at these on ebay for a while now but I had always been held back by the fact they are in Turkey. Can I be really rude and ask if you have to pay any import tax? It is a very handsome piece. I managed to liberate a chandelier from my neighbour who was about to get rid of it just after Christmas. It will look great when it's properly installed.

Sorry BS just spotted your question. No I did not pay any import tax. The chandelier just turned ul in the post the weeks later, very well packed and obviously not unpacked by customs
Your chandelier is lovely and your neighbour mad to get rid of it. I particularly prefer the ones where you do not have to look at bare bulbs
