Nope - a suspended floor at ground level Penners. It's a block & beam floor, where inverted T shaped concrete beams are put in with breeze blocks dropped between them, then the whole lot is concreted over. Means that I've got storage under the floor at the back, bearing in mind that the garage is on the side of a hill. It works well, takes the weight of a car no problem (there is a central spine wall under the floor so each beam is only half the garage width) , and wasn't really much more expensive than a concrete slab.
I have now put a floor in at eaves level to create a roof room - when the garage is eventually (if ever... :roll: ) finished I shall update my original thread about building it, which I started in 2008!
