However.....
Guys I wasnt suggesting we all do away with our bathrooms and bath in front of the fire in a tin bucket, I was suggesting however that in my view repro sanitary and plumbing hardware can look very 'fake' and to put a lot of time and effort into making a period style bathroom then fitting some modern repro can make all the original or antique fittings look dubious.
Sometimes however one must make compromises with things such as shower cubicles and the like, When you think about it bathroom fittings are nothing more than furniture and really down to personal taste.
I do however feel the same way about furniture, if I need something I will look at antiques before looking at modern stuff for both the investment side of things and better build quality, not to mention antique furniture is generally way more interestinbg and pleasing to look at than , say , Ikea's coughrubbishcough .
