Well, hello. 5 have been lurking as a guest for a while now, and this is my first post.
I, like so many of you, have a house with no heating (well...fireplaces etc.). I had considered radiators, but came across a between joist underfloor heating system (well, several systems), which claim to be the best thing since bread came sliced....
My question is, has anyone tried them? I am concerned that there will be inadequate ventilation to the underside of the floor boards and joist tops, but then, I do panic about ventilation, given the amount of rot I'm finding...all down to poor ventilation, epoxy paints and drainange.
If anyone has tried them...has anyone made progress with heat pumps in this setting? I have read the Merchants House posting (excellent) but this was a solid floor setting (I think).
Any experience?
