I know!!! Researching sheep over the last year has lead me to read lots of assertions that when your sheep are sheared you get around a £1 a fleece. And yet that Black mountain insualtion website is listing it at £80 a roll! What's going on??

It's called free market capitalism, Joce :wink:

It's not perfect, but IMHO, it's the best system we've come up with to date and has brought freedom, safety and prosperity to untold millions more than the alternatives ever did.

Although I suspect someone is about to suggest going back to sustainable stone-age stanards in a kibbutz where we all snuggle up together under that mountain of QE thermal underwear.... and I must admit that does have its attractions (as long as I don't have to snuggle up with Biff, Rob, Penners, FF, PF, etc, etc!) :lol:

That Icebreaker stuff looks very nice, thanks Biff (although I'm not sure about the claim that it can be worn for weeks without washing!!)

Yes I know it sounds hard to believe, but try it. They really don't get smelly. We've all got used to washing clothes after just a few hours wear but this Merino wool behaves in a completely different way. Believe what it says on the label.

Actually the wool price to farmers has increased quite dramatically over the last year. Not quite sure why but we aren't where we were a few years ago on this.

They look very tight fitting , I may have to spend a month or two in the gym before I could safely sport some of their clothing.

Icebraker sweaters are highly recommended. Dearest Husband has one which he usually wears for non business travel and I can vouch for their non stinky properties. Even after a long journey it's fine ( even if the occupant has become a little past due in the personal freshness department ) and can be aired and folded ready to be worn on the trip home.
