If you do get rid of it in bulk, hire a "grab lorry". Ours took 18 tons and cost £150 + VAT each time, which is much cheaper and easier than a skip; he took nine loads of earth/rubble etc altogether from this house - 160 tons! The only thing you have to do is pile it somewhere that the lorry can reach - ours was in the road and reached the front garden over the pavement. A groundworker should be able to point you to one if you can't find one yourself.
