Happy New Year everyone! May all our projects/renovations/repairs be a success!

Must reinvent our garden now our black labrador hooligan has re arranged it,find a way to continue redecorating the hallway without big paws treading in the paint tray and a waggley tail helping with the brush work, clean the drawing room carpet after OH fell asleep and allowed a mug of hot tea to fall off his lap onto the floor!

Happy New Year all! My huge thanks for all the help in 2012 during the most stressful and "progressful" year! I'm spending the evening lime plastering tonight, putting a base coat on the rear living room wall. But I opened a bottle of wine about 6 o clock and oh look, there's not much left. Now why are my hooves all covered in plaster? How did all that get on the floor?

Happy New Year everyone. I plan to get the rear of the dairy roof slated soon with artificial slates as it's subservient to the house. It's had a tarpaulin over it for nearly four years now and it's been on the long finger all that time. The sheet has kept the rain out and only been lifted by wind once. I had four very large lorry standard tarpaulin sheets made many years ago with my companies name on them and I used them for sheeting over church roofs when working on them. I'm glad I kept them

Although I'm not much of a drinker, I've spent the day getting plastered. My typing is still OK despite this, although the old biceps hurt a bit. Still, the kitchen looks better for it, much to Mrs F's relief - it's only been 2 years now that the wall in question has been bare brick

Feb 2013 was the deadline but I've just had a sideways look at it, the line is now horizontal.
I think I'll have plenty to play with for another a while yet so I'll be having a happy new year. I've got a roof and floors to look forward to and maybe even some paint.

Thank you so much for your kind words, this morning sees me feeling much better. Unfortunately the condition I have makes me prone to severe allergic reactions so New Year's Day was partly spent with a nebuliser and getting intravenous steroids to settle it down. Kittens! Or maybe mice? Or both? Or all the medicines I'm on? I'm not entirely sure, but I was covered in hives and my face swelled like a balloon so not a pretty sight.

They bumped my surgery date to the 1st Feb due to other more urgent cases, so I have one more month of extreme discomfort and then I should be repaired.
