Her and me were painting our lounge the other day, using clay paint onto the limewash that she's never liked. As she wanted to do the rolling, I have to confess my attention was diverted (well, it's the only excuse I have) and I let the half-full 2.5 litre tin of paint tumble off the mantelpiece. It landed upside down on the stone hearth, also covering my bare left foot with paint. We managed to retrieve a significant amount of the (expensive) paint as I quickly put the paint tray under the edge of the hearth and brushed it off the edge with my paint brush as it tried to flow elsewhere. I can confirm that clay paint is water soluble and so can be cleared up pretty well.
I honestly do not think that I have EVER knocked over a tin of paint before... She said "I'm glad it wasn't me who did that!"
