I am looking for some help and advice.
I have a georgian semi, circa 1820. It is timber framed, the exterior plaster/render is applied to laths. In the past someone has thoughtfully covered the whole exterior in a soffocating emulsion.
I am awaiting planning permission for some other works, so i though i would tackle removing the paint as my first job.....working along the lines of making the roof and walls watertight/breathable (you know what i mean!) before doing anything inside.
Any advice on how to remove paint, which i assume is a plastic type emulsion which covers all the exterior walls without damaging the lime render beneath. The render does need to be repaired in places, but i dont want to take it all off if i (and my pocket) can help it!
cheers!
