Yes, it's a major problem - as are hospitals.
Some of us are fighting back - the Public Inquiry to fight the demolition, agreed by the local authority, to demolish Easington Colliery School, Listed Grade II, starts Feb 14th, I'm involved with that, but so many schools are not listed and will just go.
Not of course other old and out of date school buildings such as Eton...
Local listing - waste of time.
