Hi All,
As part of our renovations, we've agreed to replace our "illegal" PVC windows (fitted by a previous occupant) with wood more sympathetic to the conservation area rules.
We came across these guys(http://www.byngjoinery.co.uk/) at the homebuilding and renovating show last year and using the pricing calculator on their web site we seem to be coming in around the £15k mark. I've tried a few random high-street and web companies for similar quotes and everyone else has been coming in closer to the £40k mark!!! Maybe I was naieve, but this is quite a lot more than I was expecting for 28 windows. Appreciate this is a little bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question - but is there a rough rule of thumb of how much wood casement windows should cost? Any recommendations for suppliers we should be speaking to would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Mark
