Wood fibre and lime render

Hi all,

So I installed some of my Steico internal wood fibre insulation over the timber battens. The insulation is kind of "soft" to the touch, meaning that it pushes in a bit as I apply pressure with my finger. I am afraid that once I apply say, 12mm lime render over it, it won't be hard and firm enough (even with fibre mash). I am particularly concerned about the child running into or me stumbling and falling to the wall, at which point it will be damaged even after 90 days of drying.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Can I trust it will be firm enough?

I've got some lime plaster on wood fibre in my kitchen but it's on a solid wall rather than batons. Feels like a solid wall when you thump it. I do have a little plasterboard on batons elsewhere (which would be the common alternative) and that feels flimsy.

I would guess lime on wood fibre will be stronger than plasterboard.
