Here's a rather nice example with pretty ancient glass, snapped in Berwick:

Very downmarket! The cheapest piece was the bit where the steel spinning rod was attached. Nowadays, of course, a phoney "bullion" piece is terribly smart and expensive (and naff!).

Whoever painted that white surround had just come back from the pub.

Yup - but it was good to see it still there (part of a church and its surrounding buildings).

I don't actually think I've ever seen a whole window done with this before though.

The pointing is grim too of course!

"Pointing" is too good a word for it. How about "stifling"?

Penners is dead right, not only the bloke that painted that had just come back from the pub, I reckon he thought that he was still playing darts.

I think it's a lovely thing ( the window not the paint)

Not the best of pics as it was dusk and taken with flash - but I agree, great to see that no-one thought it should be removed and flat glass put in its place.

Totally unexpected find too!
