Hello,
I am installing triple-glazed uPVC windows in a Victorian house. Many windows have cement around them on the outside.
The fitters are telling me I need to take it off and have it redone before they can seal the windows.
My questions:
1) do I really need the cement all around? Can it be just bricks (the lintels and sills are fine)?
2) do I need to put cement on it or NHL?
The fitters aren't able to explain why I supposedly need it, I heard a lot of different answers re whether I need them or not.
Any help will be appreciated.
