Like you, I doubt that they are selling this with the motive of 'saving' it. However, I do hope that by accident or design, it ends up with someone who will use it in the way it was intended, or at least keep it intact and visible - surely this would be better than the house being sold with it in, and then the new owners dumping it? Just a thought - though of course you are right, someone might love to buy the house with it in situ.........

In a perfect world there would be a cash buyer who, on the strength of an earlier viewing, would offer the asking price. But then, discovering on a return visit that the range had been sold, would either drop their offer by a substantial amount or walk away from the whole deal (giving reasons, of course).

So I did, the house is being repossessed and the vendor is just as upset as all of us.

The listing looks like he had it fitted to that house anyway;

"IT AS BEEN INSTALLED AND NOW RUNNING ON MAINS GAS"
