I wonder what the basic structure is like? It obviously needs complete redecoration but it didn't look in need of any significant structural work, though hard to tell from the photos.

Amazing price though, especially for that part of the country. Perhaps people are put off by the sheer size? Apart from the refurbishment needed, what would you do with it all? Handy for masked balls but once the novelty has worn off, what then? I must be getting old.

I wonder what's wrong with it? Is HS2 going to be built through the middle of it? Seriously , at 'only' £2m for the whole estate I'd be surprised if it wasn't self-financing given the business opportunities, so it all seems a bit too good to be true.

Ah yes tempting, could sell the one bedroom in London and add extra £££'s , but then what? I don't think I would be competent to run the business, His Lordship says that if I were to have a pub it would need to be called "The Grumpy Bunny" ( purveyors of mediocre food and drink, service without a smile ). Lovely place for someone though.

That's nice of you to say, it's cooking that tends to make me a bit grrrrrrrrr. I love making things that stay made, jewelry, fabric things, even rearranging the house etc. but you go to all the effort of cooking and then in minutes it's gone and the next day you have to do it over again. Tiresome. I also don't like people "messing with my stuff" largely because it never seems to be better once it's been messed with, its in the wrong place or crumpled or I can't find it :lol:

Looks timber frame, from the lumps under the wallpaper. In fact, someone's done a shocking job of wallpapering it, I'd say it needs redoing. And the windows need cleaning.
But apart from that, all ready to move in. There seems to be an outside loo, and ooh, there's a telly already.

Nice bathroom. Lot's of potential. I love places like that. I'm feeling really glum about old property at the moment. Someone will buy it and trash it. My elderly neighbour has just sold her place, and the builders are coming in. Walls are coming down, the old butt and bead boxed-in stairs are coming out and the horrid wobbly wobbly ceilings are to be ripped apart. New owners say they always wanted a 'character' property! Barratt Home here we come. Grrrrrrrrrr.
