I learned something new today - it has a "muniment" room apparently, which I'd never heard of. The Great God of Google tells me, for the benefit of myself and similarly ignorant souls, that it is a room for storing precious documents in - presumably one situated so it is nice and dry to aid their preservation.

Well, even Edinburgh is considerably drier than Perthshire, so there might be some truth in what you say. But of course without a bit of rain you wouldn't get the Tay flowing past the door! Actually, I see they are retaining a 15m strip along the Tay (and presumably the fishing rights), which seems a bit mean. So I guess that means its not worth saving up for, despite the 5 A listings and 3 Cs!

I'm sad to report, Matt, that I've had very little interest in my complete set of Isle of Arran Shoemaker's Gazette 1959 - 1983.

Wow, didn't expect to see this up for sale - I drive past it every day!

No wonder they want to keep some of the fishing rights, a serious revenue earner. And you'd need some payback with that lot to maintain. A great shame though to split it up. It used to be open to the public in summer, wonder if the new owner will keep up the tradition?

Worms, £100k will get you a nice cottage up here with a stunning view of the Tay. However the river may lose its appeal when it makes an appearance in what was your living room when the next massive and inevitable flood occurs.
