yes, drystone walling of such a standard that could never be superceded, not by employing the same technique anyway and that is a bit of a mistery. What do we know !!.

There have been a number of programs on the box on how the Incas produced such walls. The main conclusion was that it took lots of work and they knew how to build foundations. Very interesting stuff if you want to look it up.

Well with all that gold they probably had an influx of Polish craftsmen at very cheap rates to do the job. I do have to say I am impressed just how tight the joints are.

You havent seen mine yet - I'm trying to get moss to grow between the stones and it won't take - gaps are too small...

You couldn't get a fag paper between those blocks. It's easy to see that, because there are no fag papers between the blocks.

nah.... its just faux stone facing - chip it off and there'll be rubble walling behind it...
