Full of lovely, quirky things which would fill a period home and its owner with pleasure (especially the tin land speed record car...)

Related to Gervase by marriage I recall (the owners not the car).

Aw shucks. They do have superb taste, though. Some of the stuff there is very desirable. Trouble is, I have to finish the darned house properly before I can bestrew it with objets.

For those of you with small people in the house, I would heartily recommend the "Hobbybike" (or Laufsmachine, as it is German...).

If you are worried about street cred, there is also the Like-a-Bike Jumper with an aluminium, not wooden, frame.

My house is permanently bestrewn with objets.

Not always desirable though, but tidiness isn't my strong point. No streed cred either, but as no street no matter.

We also received our catalogue and they do have some lovely items, but equally there are some items which are ridiculously expensive (38 quid for a pair of gardening gloves?).

Seems the credit crunch hasn't hit everyone yet....

Those giant plywood flying birds cost over £100 !!!!
When we lived in S Norfolk they were selling them for just over a tenner (and no, it wasn't fifty years ago).

£250.00 for a bag made of old german flour sacks ?!! - dont care if they are vintage that is steep - I stopped reading after that

Tin carousel £40

At £120 the lot, they're way beyond my budget.

Some of those not really toys - tin collectibles those. They are never at rock bottom prices. Quality things tend not to be. No one is forcing you to buy any, let alone the lot, are they?

But if you want to be grumpy and dismissive I can't prevent it.

I enjoy looking at the catalogue, same as I enjoy a trip to RE in Corbridge. Thought maybe others might.
