I am starting to look around to get some idea about replacing the very modern uPVC double glazing in my house. My house is about 110 years old, an old farmworkers cottage with a bathroom extension added at some point on the ground floor. I want to re-instate wooden windows ( I just prefer them) but I am having a little bit of a problem in that I can find no pictures that show me what the originals would be like.
Two of the downstairs windows are square, and the two upstairs and a further downstairs window are taller than they are wide. I am trying to find a style suitable for the period the house was fist built that would suit both these size frames.
So any ideas? Or pictures? Or web-sites?
(All gratefully received)
