Usually they've got a clutch, you pull a lever in to make the blades start rotating. Maybe as it's in America it's an automatic, they can't cope with a clutch :wink:

Who cares? There seem to be plenty of suitable spare planets now we've started looking really carefully. All we need to do is build a fleet of spaceships capable of ferrying a few billion people (or perhaps just 'Adam' and 'Eve' ?) across a few tens of light-years and sustaining them (and their in-flight descendents) for their hundreds-of-years journey.
