I've read the recent paint threads with interest. Our house has new lime plaster, applied between September and October last year. In places it is more than an inch thick, in two or three coats. Most of it has now turned a very light grey/off white, with a sort of marble effect. Can it now be painted with distemper, which seems to be the most strongly recommended covering? The walls have dried unevenly, so do we have to wait until every last bit is dry before getting the brushes out? At the moment there isn't a single wall in the house with colour on it, so being able to brighten things up a little would give us all a boost.
