In amongst the old doors, windows, and guttering, stashed in a long-disused shed, was this.
Am I clutching at straws to hope it is some fancy moulding that used to grace the walls here? Would the location of the nails suggest it isn't a fragment of furniture? Can anyone pinpoint the era in which that kind of pattern was popular?
Of course it might just be that Mr P, who lived here before, picked it up off a skip. It was sandwiched between guttering sections though that were clearly once part of the cottage.
