what to do?

A well known landmark site seems to have undergone an 'update' recently. At first I was quite shocked (to the extent that I went back to check).

I'm not convinced about the work that has been done, I think they are mixing differing styles and detail and the result seems rather cluttered and busy to me.

Should I be getting in touch with the CO? Or is it serious enough to warrant direct contact with EH?

Ooh yes. It's no use complaining though, it just gets ignored.

I agree - possibly a tad cluttered and the previous one I thought good. I liked the changing 'period properties' too. Thankfully that's still there, if a little understated now.

Let's hope thet we don't have yet another forum 'upgrade'... still find this one hard to read... I hate the use of the word 'vibrant', and is this forum 'vibrant'? (Or indeed a 'community'?) It's the word nasty developers use when they are doing something unspeakably bad to 'regenerate' a historic area. That's alongside 'iconic' of course. They don't mention 'making lots of dosh and laughing all the way to the bank as they have fooled the council into allowing listed buildings to be demolished in order to build something horrid instead'.

Actually, I think it's a nice piece of graphic design, logically laid out and easy to follow.

I too find it much better than the initial upgrade.

I don't see any need for complaining, what about constructive ideas....... Some of the ones I put forward have been used over time.

I'm vibrant...and so is my wife! (- I hate vibrant too - it sounds rude somehow)

Also hate the following expressions:-

On TV property programmes "I love what you've done with this space" "this is a really useful space"

the expression "Heads up" - "just calling you for a Heads up on the situation"

my work colleagues insistence on being kept "in the loop"

people who "take your comments on board"

Dont get me started - oops I already did

Anyway yes the homepage is a bit busy and boxy
