What to do with back wall water channel

Hi,

Some drains in the back yard need digging up & replacing.. regarding the water channel along the back wall highlighted in orange.. which is cracked & knackered along it's length..

Do I:

1. Replace with an Aco into drain, keeping existing offset & slight slope from wall.
2. Replace with an Aco into drain, flush with the wall.
3. Replace with an evaporative strip covered in an open weave membrane and gravel i.e. get rid of the channel completely.
4. Leave it as it is until I've saved up enough to have the back yard repaved and do something then.

It's an 1896 Victorian, stone outer, cavity, inner brick behind, suspended timber floor.

To the left of the back door is the same with suspended floor on cast iron beams and keeping cellar below.

Don't want to waste precious funds on a new Aco if it isn't needed..

Assuming that water entering the drain directly below the down pipe is not blocked and empties quickly I would suggest that all you need to do is repair repair/replace any damaged mortar render between the terra-cotta gutter and the the house and the joints between the gutter sections. There should be no need to ripe all of that out to replace it with a modern Aco system.

Hi cubist, the drain line below downpipe is massively displaced in multiple places and needs to be replaced along with the gulley.

The terracotta channel is full of cracks all the way along, I didn't think it was salvageable? I'm not even sure it does too much, I assume it's meant for water hitting the back wall?

From the photos it doesn't look like the main trap has been displaced at all, does heavy rainwater flow into it effectively directly from the down pipe? If not has the down pipe itself been moved out of alignment? Another suggestion would be to consider using 1/2 Round plastic rain gutter to replace the terra cotta section in the channel while leaving the steel grid supports in place.

Hi cubist, I think the drain survey guys said they couldn't get past it with the camera, United Utilities managed to and said the pipes were displaced.

The report shows the drain survey guys went from the manhole and in that direction it's cracked, displaced and has a dropped section.

I had all the downpipes and gutters replaced 18 months ago, that downpipe takes water from the bath and sink. It's in the same position as the old plastic one which had no shoe?
