What temp hot water pressure washer for masonary paint removal?

As it says on the tin, Aldi are doing a hot water pressure washer at the moment at a reasonable price, but max temp is 50 degrees. Would this be high enough for removing masonry paint from stone after applying Solvistrip etc? {the technical details dont state a temperature} Ta muchly.

A Doff hot pressure washer was used on my house. The temperature range is 30C to 150C. I know a cold washer is useless as it just smears plastic paint around. I would guess 50C is not enough.

Paint stripping is a horrible and unhealty job. I recall it cost £5k to strip the paint from my house. Well worth it not to be wet and splattered with nasty chemicals. Careful on stone if it isn't as robust as brick.

Thanks Malcolm, I came to that conclusion too - though we shall have to do it ourselves unless we win the lottery - we were quoted over thirteen K minimum and that was before scaffolding and we had to remove all the gutters etc ourselves. Not got the budget for that.

This was the one I was thinking of! Pford75, who I haven't seen on here for a while, stripped a whole house in East Anglia with chemicals and a hot water pressure washer.

The DOFF system has a diesel burner in it I think, so it can pretty much blast steam out. I bet it can be good, but the people who tried to use it on my house blew holes in my limestone window capping. They were idiots, but it proves that the system isn't fool proof. Luckily I get them to stop before they damaged all of the stonework. Thanks for the tip about the pressure washer, as it might be useful for cleaning my car!

The previous owner of my rather decrepit and now deceased Silver Shadow had it pressure washed, and they blasted off large chunks of the paintwork!!
