What is this grate?

I found some sort of cast iron grate in the garden, it was sat under an old coal/wood store. Was wondering how it ended up being in my garden and whether or not it might have been used in the house somewhere original. Any thoughts? Please try to ignore the horrific use of cement a previous owner used on the walls!

Do you or did you once have a cellar? it looks like a cellar grate cover to me.

When I first found it lying in the mud I did hope for a minute that I fond a secret cellar, but unfortunately there was just more mud underneath. Pretty certain there was never a cellar in the house, certainly no sign of one (apart from this grate) and have had most of the floorboards up. Maybe I will just clean it up and see if I can sell it (or scrap it), not sure I will be able to find any use for it in the house
