What font are rural street signs written in?

We have street signs in our village to assist deliveries. I've attached a photo of a portion of ours. The problem is, one has been put on our lane which is private and it's encouraging all and sundry to come poking about so I'd like to add "Private Lane" to it but so it looks in keeping so can anyone identify the font? Failing that, does anyone know if it's possible to buy stick on letters in the correct style so I can put them on there?

I'm not sure what the font is, but you can order signs to suit from, to give an example at random, this firm on ebay

It's "Kindersley MOT" by the way, also available in slightly revised versions under the names "Kindersley Grand Arcade" and "Kindersley Street"

I'm going to try and add text to the current sign to reduce the number of signs. This could be a job for the design lab in our local library now!

That's quite a nice font...better than the ubiquitous Times New Roman!
