We've managed to get a load of Vinyl tiles up and are now considering what screed/DPM combo to put down on top of a concrete floor in an old house before we put a wood floor down, there was a thin layer of bitumen under the tiles which has now been scraped away in most places.
The original concrete floor slab is cracked but looks stable, there is what looks to be a rudimentary slate DPM about 4 inches down - perhaps Victorian. We can't pull the main slab up, but there are signs of damp/salts coming up through it.
Some options we were looking at:
Arditex NA (latex screed)
Ardex DMP 1C
Some Primer Ardex P 82 - is this actually required?
then another layer of Arditex NA
We are considering both floating a wood floor on top, or perhaps gluing down.
Any thought on this would be appreciated?
