What can I use these bits of stone for?

I've got a lot of smallish off-cuts of Ancaster stone. At £3,000 a cubic metre, it's killing me to think I just have to throw them away :shock: Can anyone think of a good (and sensible, Penners!!) use for them? Here's a picture of just a few of them.....

Cut them up very small and sell them as up-market toy building blocks. If you can carve little round pegs on one face and sockets on the opposite face, they could be Lego for period-property people who don't like plastic.

Although if you really want a use where you can look at the stone perhaps you could slice it into 20mm sections and bond it with stone fixing resin to a horrible bit of concrete somewhere. Would cover quite an area then.

If photos of people's houses is considered period property porn, the pic above could be classed as some expensive hardcore.
(On a serious note, they would make ideal places to experiment with some of the various finishes available. Coat one in linseed oil, one in stone sealer, a third waxed and one left untreated as a control. Then splash on a few drops of red wine, add a touch of soot, a wipe of shoe polish and some damp. The results would prevent someone else from carrying out a similar trial on their newly fitted hearth.)

Keep them for when you landscape the garden - a nice low garden wall, like this: The cotoneaster behind me completely covers (in red berries now) the rough construction of the wall.

The previous owner constructed this -it's a pretty semi-circle, gravelled, that I plan to devote to agapanthus.
