A few days ago it was 16 degrees here and I was working outside in a T-shirt in the sun getting rather hot, and this morning I wake up to find snow! Not only that the wind is picking up and it's starting to blow a gale out there. Mad......

Monsoon style downpour here at 7am this morning just as I was leaving the house and I watered all the new plants on Sunday before the hosepipe ban hits :roll:

Was 22 degrees here this day last week, and the stonemason and chppie had no tops on. (Steady on Mrs FW!).

Now we have 3 inches of snow and they didn't even show up today. See, I told Mrs FW they were wusses!

:lol: Beautiful rain here; baths from the sky. Why did we buy the bowser again? (seriously though, this bit of rain won't do much to the water table, it needs to rain solidly until December please)

I was bound to rain once you had bought a bowser. :lol:

I've spent the last two days clearing some very overgrown areas and old fallen trees. Finished at about 4pm yesterday when it started to rain and it has been more or less constant since then, including some very heavy showers and hail, so things are getting a good soaking.

It's down to a drizzle now though, so it might make the grass grow but I suspect you're right that it will have little effect on the water table.

My daughter went to Morocco a fortnight ago in search of sunshine. They had not had any rain for a year until the day she arrived and the heavens opened. She missed all our nice weather and returned home today!
