Wallpaper Size on Lime Plaster

Apologies if this has been asked before.

We have stripped the wallpaper off and repaired a few lime plaster ceilings in our 1870s house. We want to line the ceilings to get a vaguely flat surface. Two questions...

What wallpaper size should we use to ensure the breath-ability and longevity? We have seen Zinsser and Beeline products but are not sure about the breath-ability or compatibility with lime plaster.

Do we need to paper the ceiling twice in both directions to get the best result or would one likely be enough with an 1800 paper?

Not a recommendation, but... I've recently hung some lining paper in a bedroom using 1400 paper and Solvite adhesive. Pasted the paper, and didn't bother with a sizing coat. The main reason for this is I've found brushing or rolling a sizing coat on the wall had a tendency to pick up bits of grit that would then stick out like a sore thumb.

No need to worry about the breathability of ceilings.
Or for that matter upstairs walls.
Size away to your heart's content.

Wallpapering is much easier after a size coat. The paper slidesssss into position. And the edges don't dry out due to excessive suction.

When decorating, the room should be clean/vacuumed.
Plaster should be washed down with a wet/damp cloth before sizing and left to dry overnight. That removes any debris.

If you plan to apply finish paper over the lining, ensure the seams will not coincide.
