Does anyone know of a good carpenter / joiner who could make and install some authentic looking Victorian window shutters? I live in Whitstable in Kent.

Hello Martin - a newcomer, I think? Welcome to the forum.
I can't be of any direct help on this question, I'm afraid, but you might be able to get some ideas from your local authority. Ask the planning department whether they will let you see a list of the local carpenters/joiners that they've used in the past. They won't want to recommend someone, but I reckon a joiner who has been used by them probably comes with pretty good credentials.
