We have discovered some old wall paper when stripping a room in our flat. It looks old, the raised pattern is hard, I initally thought it was plaster but can see from an area that has come away from the wall that it is backed with paper. The flat is a Glasgow tenement building and was built in 1890 and the previous owners had been there since the 1970s. Is it possible that this is original Victorian wall paper? Can it be restored? Any advice welcome!
