victorian style wirewok

Does anybody know where those victorian style wirework garden seats and jardinnaire are to be found? I haven't been able to find any on e bay. Somebody makes them I am sure, and I would be jolly lucky to stumble across an antique one.

A wirewok sounds to me as though it might have a design flaw.

Wouldn't the noodles fall through the holes?

I normally associate wirework with French furniture (perhaps wrongly).

I found a Gisela Graham table and chairs set in a large garden centre, tiny and just right for a small space. They were under £200 and more my budget then the rather lovely antique ones.

Daughter complains loudly about the patterns on her bare legs after sitting in them for too long!

They're so pretty to look at - but again I would second Carol's daughter's view that the Gisela Graham ones aren't comfy, (you'll need seat cushions) and you can't balance a glass of gin without placemats. (Heaven knows I tried enough times!)

Sitting on wirework furniture without a cushion can sometimes be useful.

If you find yourself short of a chessboard, for example.

:lol: There is a video somewhere of a poor man who sat down with chilly "bits". They dropped through his chair and he fell asleep. The "bits" warmed up, swelled and got stuck. :lol:
