Victorian doors

Hi!

I have just stripped my internal panel doors, and can't tell what kind of wood they are. The wood is dark, quite warm and has a pronounced and beautiful darker grain. My house was built in 1903 and I wonder if anyone know how I might be able to find out about the wood.

Most likely a pine, but a picture would help.

Hi,

Mine are a warm honey colour and soft wood but by no means light in weight and like Biff has said mine are pine.
