Sorry to plug my mate Malone but it's sea-shanty time at 9pm tonight on BBC4 -an excellent programme with some lovely rugged men and equally rugged songs. (and period properties in the background)

We're all a bit disappointed it only got to BBC4 as it deserved 2 really.

We had a few days in Polperro recently and this story was on the local news and generally being advertised quite a bit. They were 'spotted' by a visiting music industry someone-or-other apparently, although they had been singing for many years. Lovely story really.

Can't be long before there's a low-budget-but-hugely-successful British film about it all with Hugh Grant in the leading role. :wink:

Well, I confess to not really knowing what the phrase actually meant - I was only using it as general 'pirate-speak'.

But following minimal research (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiver_my_timbers) I see your point and have no wish to actually shiver our timbers and, fortunately, can report that they seem to be in fine fettle.
