According to the Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/...se-restoration-project-lauded-by-critics.html the Earl of Pembroke has just won an award for redecorating his dining room (above). Looks like he has done a good job, but why hasnt anyone photographed his lordship's curtains? This colour could be just what I need for my bedroom.

Is anyone is planning a trip to Wilton in the near future?

Nigel - I'm absolutely certain that His Lordship will have taken inspiration for his curtains from the pictures that you've posted on this forum.

So whatever you feel would be best for his modest salle-a-manger is probably what's there already.

BTW, why has he got such a big dining table there, when he could easily fit a snooker table in? What was he thinking!

It's probably one of those tables where the top comes off and the playing surface is underneath :wink:

He does have one of my pet hates though, fabric covers over the chandelier support. For some reason I can't abide them, I would rather see a good honest chain than some silly bit of silk that you just know is covering up a serious bit of kit. Maybe I should have posted that in the grumpy old git thread?
