Sadly it's on hold at the moment as I'm looking for a new job (lots of minor shit adding up at current job means I want to leave and some days I think about "rage quitting") and I don't want to commit the amount of money it's going to take until I've got my feet under the table at a new job.

Been thinking more about your post, Peter. This comment may yet come back to bite me. But, having a project like this helps me manage stresses of the working day. The assumption that I'm adding value to the house - that its not lost money - also helps.
Maybe go for it, and your present job might not seem so bad?

Certainly more bang for your buck than period restoration work.
