uploading pictures

I tried to upload pictures.....
resized to requirement 20kb .jpg.......rejected
resized to requirement 20kb.gif.........rejected
used pictures from another source.....and went through the same cycle as above.....REJECTED!!
What the hell is going on on this site....?????
Tried to sent them a message.....GUESS!!...doesn't work!!!!
I am in computing for 30 years...so know a bit whats going on....but this site stinks!!!....unfriendly...unworkable.....
If somebody "is listening"to put me right.......get in touch

I've never used the site basic facility, I use Photobucket or Photogalaxy to host, then post the link here. That works for me.

Have you tried uploading the pics to an image hosting site such as picturetrail, and posting the image URL to it (using the IMG tag button) ?

I think I've got it! It's the bottom of the three addresses that you need to cut and paste (I couldn't find an img tag to click on)
If this has worked, you should see the 1891 wallpaper unearthed in the passage at home - it's all over below tha dado line and has been protected from further damage by ---- woodchip! If it hadn't been for the woodchip being put on top of the pink 1950s, early 60s paper, the whole lot would have been stripped off years ago. The image is actually a darker brown but the flash has lightened it.
The problem is - how to remove it so that I can frame and preserve it - I am under no illusions about it remaining there after I leave the house.

Upload images to PictureTrail, then get image URLs.
e.g.

Copy and paste direct image link between IMG tags - the "Img" button at the top of the Post a Reply window will put the tags in for you.

Copy and paste forums image tag from PictureTrail, already includes IMG tags
