He seems to have survived it so far...
The builders are in....
They have been rather suspiciously good at clearing up all the rubble as they go... They have even washed up their coffee mugs every day...
They also found this hidden in behind some plasterboard.
I'm sure it is a C14 undiscovered masterpiece which may just pay for the builders to put the front wall back together again.

Unfortunately the windows are uPVC throughout and as they are in tolerable nick will be put back in when the wall is rebuilt. When we have made our fortunes, we will replace the windows with something better but it won't be for a while...
