Hi - new to this forum, looks really good!
We are converting a stone coachhouse (approx 30 m x 6.5m) into 3 holiday cottages. Exploratory digging has revealed that the exterior walls go plenty deep enough below the required finished floor height (we are lowering it 300mm). However, the two internal stone walls which go floor to roof at ca. 6.5m in from each end, do not. Having dug down deep enough to put in compacted base (50 mm) insulation (100mm) and floor ca. 150mm with underfloor heating we have exposed ca. 150 mm of earth below the stone of the interior walls. Ground is very firm slate / clay mix. Any advice from similar situations on how best to proceed would be welcome.
Cheers, Mark
