Today, armed with a map from 1888, we took a scrape at the turf covering the site of a Ty Unnos house which once stood on our land - this is what was has been revealed so far, not flagstones but chunks of stone set into the gound. Bit of a surprise, we were expecting either cobbles or tiles. I don't think they' can be foundation stones as they seem too spread out.
The house first appears on the census returm for 1861 and was still inhabited in 1901.
