Hello all,
In the upstairs room of my house, which is around 17th Century timber frame, I have tie beams in the ceiling and the plan is to board across above them with woodwool board and lime plaster inbetween the beams leaving them exposed.
In order not to have a TV aerial on the roof, I've stuck it in this loft, which otherwise isn't big enough to use as a loft. However, that means I'd need to leave access. What sort of loft hatch could I have that wouldn't look out of keeping? Are there Regs dictating how big/rigid/accessible a loft hatch must be?
I should add that because the house is small and lower than all the surrounding ones, I'd need to put a socket in the loft to power an aerial booster. Otherwise I'd probably be tempted not to have a hatch, but if there's a socket outlet up there I probably should.
Many thanks all.
