Having lost what was a fairly comprehensive tool collection to my ex. I find myself needing to invest in some new powertools. The budget is fairly moderate, but I am well aware of the pitfalls of buying cheap tools if you are going to use them regularly.
First on the priority list is a half sheet sander. What do you have? What brands would you look at? What stats are the key indicators of a machine that will actually do the job.
I'd also be interested to hear which tools you consider indispensable.
Primarily in the next few months I am going to be renovating internal wood work (doors, skirting, architrave etc.) and stripping paper (and probably losing a fair bit of plaster in the process).
