I'd appreciate your advice. We used a roofer recommended by our chimney sweep. He was meant to be doing a 2 part job. First part remove cowl from chimney pot so sweep could get rid of birds nest. Thats been done. Second part, come back and place bird guards on chimney pots, remove foliage from one other stack, and a couple of other little jobs. . He hasn't come back, he has excuse after excuse ( can't get messages off my phone, didn't want to go on your roof without your permission - he had my permission etc etc etc - he was going to come today but hasn't). Stupidly I agreed to let him eave his ladder on my roof. Can you tell me what a fair price would be to climb onto one roof and remove a cowl ( I think he was there less than an hour) so I can tell him where to go and what are my chances of getting someone else to remove the ladder. Thanks. Oh and if anyone else wants a roofer in Plymouth I am happy to tell you who to avoid.
